Oh Ailsa, just what you didn`t need straight after OFSTED. Re our delayed Silver Wedding celebrations, I remember being so angry that OFSTED had to take priority, but as you say, the pressure to produce these "perfect" lessons is intolerable.

Hope you can manage to relax this weekend now that it`s over.

Take care,

Kathleen x

Thankyou everyone for keeping me going last week. I made it! Not happy news though as we were given 'Notice to Improve' - which falls below satisfactory but above special measures. Bitterly disappointing for our Dept as we came out well and we did get a special mention, but the reality is that it won't count towards anything. We are all in the same boat, with Ofsted now able to arrive with no notice within 6 months and full inspection again within 12 months.

Hard to pick up and keep going after such a disappointment. Thankyou everyone for keeping me sane (ish!!) xx Ailsa

Sorry to hear that Ailsa - especially as your department came out well. Hope you can put it all behind you for now.

Take care,

Hi Ailsa

How disappointing for you all especially after all your efforts. Hope you are able to relax over the weekend and unwind a little Smile

My son, Ian, completed the BUPA Great North Run on 15th September running for the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS). You can read his story at http://www.justgiving.com/ianlukewilson

Thanks Kathleen and Lyn. It is so flat at work now but today is my last day as I'm having the 1st infusion next week. I feel a bit bad about leaving them for 2 weeks but also very glad in another way to be out of it for a while.

It's my bday tomorrow and I'm hoping to go out to Haworth for the day. Susie sent me to MnS last night and when I came home Peter and Susie had put up all the decorations! A little early but they said they wanted to cheer me up and I was so touched. (Might have to do a little re-arranging when no-one is looking though!!)

xx Ailsa
